The Controller Chip
Phison is one of the most successful SSD controller designers that sells controllers on the open market. The Phison E12 is its latest flagship NVMe controller intended for high-end consumer SSDs and enterprise SSDs. This is the main reason for high speed. Here is the Specification of our 5012-E12 controller.
The DRAM Cache
DRAM is very important to increase the speed for your OS to locating the data of your SSD. That will affect your SSD’s speed heavily, especially 4k R/W, it will also extend the life of the SSD because it decreases the data R/W of the NAND Flash chips. However, DRAM is not a mandatory component of every SSD. The most M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD sold on AliExpress do not have DRAM Cache, they have lower speed and shorter life. All our models have DDR3 DRAM. 512MB for 1TB, 256M for 512GB, 128M for 256GB 64M for 128GB.
The TLC 3D NAND Flash Chips
NAND flash types include Single Level Cell (SLC), Multi-Level Cell (MLC), and Triple Level Cell (TLC). SLC is the fastest, with the longest lifespan—up to 50,000 P/E cycles, but has the downside of being the most expensive, and available only in smaller capacities. With 2D planar NAND flash approaching physical scaling limitations, 3D NAND flash is the latest technological breakthrough, and allows for far greater capacities and better performance. 3D NAND flash is currently offered in TLC and MLC devices on the market. We only use high-quality 3D NAND TLC Memory Chips from Top Manufactures to provide the stable and long life product.
No Cache PCIE SSD
The non-cached product adopts the SMI 2263XT master control, and the high-performance design scheme makes the SSD’s read/write performance very excellent, and the sequential read/write performance is very eye-catching. Even a demanding 4K performance is a good performance
Although the use of the non-cache design, it still has good read and write performance, and because of the use of no cache design, the price is also very popular.
No Cache Test
Although there is no cache blessing, the speed is still ideal, excellent sequential read and write performance and 4K read and write performance. Compared to non-PCIE NVME 3.0 solid state drives, speed still has a clear advantage.
About Performance Testing
All of the above are the real data that we personally tested on the computer, which is true and reliable. Although there is no blessing of the cache chip, it still has good performance. 128GB read: 1795MB, write: 589MB256GB Read: 1629MB, write: 1085MB, 512GB read: 2153MB, write: 1731MB, 1TB read: 2146MB, write: 1820MB.
The above performances are all tested by ourselves. In view of the differences in hardware platforms, there will be performance differences. Therefore, the actual performance is also subject to the actual experience of the dear users.

•The type of keying (B/M/B+M) supported by the motherboard/notebook socket. Our product has standard M key.
•If it is PCI Express, whether it supports 2x or 4x PCI-Express. Our product is 4x PCI-Express.
•The maximum length of SSD drive supported. (2232 to 22110) (hint: it should say on the PCB) Our product is 2280.
